In the USA & Canada, Protein 17 comes from the healthy, USDA-certified Organic cows that graze on grass pastures in the USA. In Europe and elsewhere, Protein 17 comes from healthy, European-Union-certified Bio/Organic cows that graze on grass pastures in Europe.

Instantizing is a process involving heat that most whey protein powders are subject to in order to make it instantly dissolve in water. Unfortunately, this additional processing step exposes the whey to more heat and can damage the delicate whey micro-nutrients. If your whey contains the ingredient "soy lecithin" it has been instantized. Protein 17 is so pure that is has NOT been instantized.
Many countries do not even permit (by law) the sale of whey from "raw" milk.
There is only ONE ingredient in Protein 17. If you are ordering from USA or Canada it is Protein17 (undenatured USDA certified Organic whey protein concentrate from cows that graze on Organic grass pastures). If you are ordering from the UK or Europe it is Protein17 (undenatured European Union certified Bio-Organic whey protein concentrate from cows that graze on Bio-Organic grass pastures).
It has a delicious natural creamy taste, like fresh natural milk. There is absolutely no coloring, flavors or additives of any kind, only pure USDA certified Organic whey protein concentrate.
This is because many protein powders have been treated with acid during production which can cause it to be very bitter. This is why many protein powders are heavily flavored with controversial artificial sweeteners and flavors. Protein 17 has NOT been acid treated so it has a delicious natural creamy taste, like fresh natural milk. There are absolutely no added colors, flavors or additives of any kind - only pure USDA certified Organic, whey protein concentrate.
USDA Certified Organic or the European Union certified Bio-Organic is your only guarantee that your food is free from hormones, pesticides and chemicals. Terms like 'natural' are NOT regulated by law so even products that contain hormones, chemicals or pesticides can use the term 'natural'. Insist on certified Organic only.
Certified Organic is almost always a higher standard then anything labeled as 'natural' and the USDA Organic is one of the highest in the world. Don't be fooled by claims "it's as good as Organic" because this is highly unlikely.
The word 'natural' is not regulated by law and anyone can use it. This may sound misleading (I agree with you) but products can claim 'natural' and still have pesticides and hormones in it - crazy but true. However, the use of the word 'Organic' and the USDA certified Organic symbol are tightly regulated by law. They are your guarantee of purity. Do not be fooled by marketing claims that 'natural whey' is the same as certified Organic, it is NOT.
A "Cold-Processed" is a term that can be very misleading because it suggests that the product is processed without heat. The truth is that to be legally sold in most countries, dairy products must be subject to some heat in order to minimize the risk of it containing harmful bacteria and viruses. If a product claims to be "cold-processed" there is a good chance it is either making a false claim or breaking the law. Protein 17 is minimally processed. Instead of the typical high heat pasteurization techniques most whey proteins are subjected to, Protein 17 employs a gentler technique which only exposes the fresh raw milk to a lower temperature. For customers buying Protein 17 in North America, it has been heated to 72 degrees Celsius for fifteen seconds after which the whey is cooled to five degrees Celsius. For customers buying Protein 17 in Europe and the rest of the world, it has been heated to 72-74 degrees for twenty to thirty seconds. These techniques are the minimal allowed and help to preserve the delicate whey micro-nutrients.
Whey Protein Isolate and Whey Protein Hydrolysate have been well marketed but the reality is that both are more heavily processed powders in which the proteins or nutrients may be damaged or removed. You see, Whey Protein Concentrate is known as WPC 80. This means it is 80% protein by weight. The other 20% is largely made up of the nutrients that help your body absorb and process the protein.
Protein 17 has low levels of lactose (~1.5gr/serving). Usually it is well tolerated by people sensitive to lactose but always check with your health practitioner to be sure.

Yes we have been. And you know what? We're proud of it. This means we created something so special with Protein 17 that people wanted it faster then we could make it - that is a huge compliment and testament to quality of Protein 17. You see, the quality of whey we use in Protein 17 is so rare that sometimes customer demand is greater than the supply and we will never, ever compromise on quality by accepting a lower grade whey (you'd be surprised who does) that does not pass our incredibly high quality control just to meet demand. I'm sure you will agree, that if once in while you have to wait a few extra days to ensure you are receiving our very finest product it is well worth it - after all this is the same protein we give our families and loved ones too.

Protein 17 contains no added wheat/soy/nuts. It is even free from soy lecithin which is in many of protein powders.

No. Protein 17 is egg free.
The cows which are used to produce Protein 17 are Jersey cows. This is one of the original breeds of cow and their milk consists largely of the "A2 protein" which is thought to be much better for human consumption. The cows milk which many people believe causes them problems is A1 milk which usually comes from a cow breed called Holstein cows. We do not use milk from Holstein cows when producing Protein 17.
The pH of whey is typically related to how processed it is. Protein 17, having only been minimally processed, should have a pH of about 6.5 or greater which is about as high as any whey can be. (Acid whey is thought to have a pH of about 4.5, by comparison). Keep in mind this may vary slightly from batch to batch.

Because Protein 17 is so pure it has not even been instantized like most of the protein powders on the market. When you instantize protein powder you must expose it to heat and add controversial things like soy lecithin (you'll find this on almost every other protein label). Protein 17 is derived from cows whose diet is Certified Organic and consists primarily of Organic grass/forage pastures. The cows have daily access to Organic pastures, except where severe weather conditions do not allow. On the days when access to pastures is not possible, the cows are fed plant-based foods that are Certified Organic and, therefore, not been treated with chemicals, hormones or genetic modification. Beware of anyone claiming to have a "superior" standard to this because we seek to make Protein 17 a true "highest possible quality / no compromise" product and this is the highest standard we are aware of.
Because Protein 17 is certified Organic it is already highly unlikely to contain high levels of heavy metals or other contaminants. However, we do not rely on that and so the whey we use is routinely tested by a laboratory for any impurities. Not surprisingly, this testing has always shown that the whey is extremely pure but these tests are routinely undertaken to make absolutely sure.
In order to create the purest organic whey possible we evaluated everything from the quality of the organic milk, the cows ability to graze on natural organic pastures, whey processing techniques and more. The combination of all these factors that produced the least processed, purest, highest quality organic whey with the highest protein percentage was combination #17 and hence we called it Protein 17.
